OJAI, Calif., Sept. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- National Disaster Search Dog Foundation (NDSDF) and Handler Seth Peacock wish to thank all of Indianapolis for their support in helping find Pupdog.

Pupdog, black lab mix, male, white markings on chest and chin, went missing late Friday, September 8, 2006. At approximately 12 AM, Sunday, September 10, 2006 the dog was reunited with his handler, Seth Peacock.

Located approximately one (1) mile from home, the dog was taken in by some caring people who recognized him when the story aired on local television stations.

Handler Seth Peacock reported that Pupdog was well taken care of and is in good health.

The National Disaster Search Dog Foundation is most appreciative of all those in Indianapolis who helped get the word out regarding this special canine. We thank you for being part of the search. It is not often we have to search for one of our own. We are grateful Seth Peacock will be able to spend the 5th Anniversary of 9/11 with his partner.

Pupdog was one of the canine heroes of 9/11 deployed to the World Trade Center site. Seth and Pupdog were also deployed in a local disaster in South America where Seth was staying for the summer. They were also sent to help in the aftermath of Hurricane Rita in September of 2005.

Pupdog is now retired and lives with Seth in Indiana where he has begun his first internship after graduating from Medical School in 2006.
