NEW YORK, July 31 /PRNewswire/ -- The ASPCA(R) (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals(R)) invites all animal lovers to join its new online "ASPCA Community" (http://www.aspca.org/community), an exciting online forum designed to bring together people who care about animals.

The ASPCA Community Web site features four interactive discussion boards for Community members, entitled: My Dog, My Cat, Helping Animals, and Lobby for Animals. The forum also features easy links to other ASPCA Web content of vital interest to pet owners such as Animal Poison Control information, Disaster Preparedness tips and Pet Care advice. Membership of the ASPCA Community is free, although individuals are asked to register in order to join.

"The ASPCA gives a voice to animals in need," said Edwin Sayres, President and CEO of the ASPCA. "The ASPCA Community takes this one step further by giving their pet parents and human companions a forum to connect, where they can also draw on the expertise and resources of the ASPCA all in one place."
