Persistent offenders will face increased penalties as part of a package of measures to protect animals in the Government's Animal Welfare Bill which is to be published in Parliament tomorrow..
Ben Bradshaw, the Animal Welfare Minister who has lead responsibility for the Bill will chair a press briefing at 09.45 on Friday 14 October at Defra's HQ in Nobel House, 17 Smith Square, London SW1P 3JR .
You are invited to meet Mr Bradshaw and hear about the raft of proposed measures which will embrace a century of legislation into just one law to improve the welfare of animals..
Press packs will be available to print/web national/regional journalists at the briefing from 09.30 and following an introduction by Ben Bradshaw at 09.45, they will have the opportunity for questions and one-to-one interviews.
