Casting Agents Descend on Third Street Promenade to Find New Canine Mascot
Event Supports Much Love Animal Rescue
Friday, May 5, 12 noon - 4pm
WHAT: Old Navy is on the hunt for a dog who is "mascot mutt-erial" to
replace their much-loved pooch, "Magic." Magic was Old Navy's
original canine mascot who starred in more than 60 television ads
in the late nineties.
As part of a nationwide search for their new mascot, Old Navy is
holding casting events across the U.S., including LA on May 5. At
the event Los Angelenos can have their dogs photographed and
entered in the contest, as well as participate in a variety of
activities and get tips from dog trainers and specialists.
WHEN: Friday, May 5

WHERE: Third Street Promenade, Santa Monica

MORE: At the conclusion of the Canine Casting Call, a panel of celebrity
judges will select six finalists who will be featured in the
windows at more of Old Navy stores throughout North America. Then,
from June 23 through July 7, fans will vote at http://www.oldnavy.com/magic for their favorite doggie star. The winner
will go on to star in Old Navy's Holiday 2006 ad campaign.
