HOLLYWOOD, Calif., Nov. 30 /PRNewswire/ -- The Jingle Dogs, a singing group comprised of real dogs, have released a new single for the holiday season entitled "JINGLE BELLS DOG MIX." The Jingle Dogs songs features the barks, howls and woofs of over 100 real dogs. The dogs were recorded on location over a period of two years in various parts of Los Angeles and Ventura County in California.
The Jingle Dogs have just completed work on their first non-holiday album entitled "King of the Woof" which will be released in the next few weeks. Their previous album, "Christmas Unleashed," was released in 1995 and has become a classic holiday evergreen.
The idea for the Jingle Cats and Jingle Dogs was created by a cat who climbed into a recording studio booth in Hollywood in 1992 and started meowing along with the song Jingle Bells, which was being recorded in the studio. The engineers were laughing so hard they had to record the cat and make the first Jingle Cats single now known as "Jingle Cats Medley." The Jingle Cats and Jingle Dogs went on to sell millions of albums.
Jingle Cats Music, a record label, is the licensor of the Jingle Dogs and the Jingle Cats.
They have just signed a license agreement with Animal Planet for music from the Jingle Dogs first album for December 2005 promotion.
Jingle Cats will also appear on an upcoming episode of Bravo TV's "Great Things About Christmas" (December 1, 2005) and on the BBC in England with interviewer "Jonathan Ross" (December 7, 2005). Jingle Cats Music has also recently licensed songs performed by the Jingle Cats to SONY BMG Music Entertainment.
